There are three ways to get involved:
Volunteer
Our volunteers help out when and where they can. From helping us check people in or set-up on event nights, put up posters around town, spread the word at community events, amplify us on social media, get us organized, connect us with someone who might want to present, and more.
You might be a good fit if you love PechaKucha and use your time and gifts to give back to the community.
Commitment is flexible based on our needs and your availability.
Community Cultivation Committee
Our CCC spreads the word of PechaKucha out the community. They think through themes that will inspire our three guiding tenants of Community, Creativity, and Celebration, and then strive to ensure that the people in our community who might be passionate about those themes know that the PechaKucha community exists for them to share their story. They also have the opportunity to co-host on event nights.
You might be a good fit if you're kind of person that loves to build relationships and community.
Commitment consists of monthly virtual meetings and behind-the-scenes outreach.
Board Service
Our board guides the success of PechaKucha as an organization. They deal with the nitty gritty details of vision, community partnerships, high-level event logistics, budgets and fundraising, insurance, etc.
You might be a good fit if you're the kind of person that people look to for guidance on a specific topic.
Commitment consists of bi-monthly in-person meetings and action behind the scenes.
